SSL encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the requests that you as the site operator send to us. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the browser address line changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Using Google Tag Manager

On our website we use the Google Tag Manager from Google Inc. In Europe, the Irish company “Google Ireland Limited” is responsible for this. We use Google Tag Manager to manage various code snippets from different tracking tools.

These code snippets are known in technical jargon as “tags”. These usually come from Google products such as Google Ads, GA4, but social media tags (such as Pinterest and Facebook) can also be managed within the tag manager. These then collect browser data, set cookies or can track users across websites. We use Tag Manager in our company to be able to manage and control these code snippets in a central location. The Tag Manager itself does not set cookies or store data; it effectively serves as the manager of the tags it contains. The data is collected from the individual tags that are managed. You can find out which data these respective tags collect in the respective sections on the various tools in this data protection declaration.

The data that is stored by Google is usually located on Google's own servers, which are distributed around the world. However, most of them are in the USA. You can find out where the servers are located using the link below: https://www.google.com/about/datacenters/locations/?hl=de

Use of Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Our website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analysis service from Google Inc., (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). To deactivate Google Analytics, Google provides: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de A browser plug-in is available. GA4 uses cookies. These are small text files that make it possible to store specific, user-related information on the user's device. These enable Google to analyze the use of our website.

The information collected by the cookie about the use of our pages (including your IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated, Google will first shorten your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. IP anonymization is active on our website.

We use the data collected by GA4 to create analyzes of users and user behavior and, as a result, to optimize our website and thus improve the user experience on our website. The data collected is treated confidentially at all times and is not passed on to third parties.

You can deactivate the use of GA4 at any time by installing a simple browser add-on. You can find the addon at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/?hl=de.

Use of social media tools

We operate publicly accessible profiles on social networks. You can find out exactly what these are later in this section.

Social networks such as Facebook and Co. can analyze your user behavior when you visit their website or websites with integrated social media content. Data collection occurs automatically when you are logged in with your user profile via the app or browser. In some cases (in order to track your behavior outside of Facebook), data collection can also take place through the use of cookies (which are stored on your device) or by recording your IP address. With the help of this collected data, we are able to show you interest-based advertising on and off social media platforms. If you have an account on the respective platforms, the advertising can be displayed to you on all devices on which you are logged in or were logged in.

The data we collect via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for its storage no longer applies, we are personally requested by you to delete it or you revoke your consent to storage. We have no influence on the storage period of the data that is stored by the operators of the respective social networks for their own purposes. For more information, please visit the privacy policy of the respective social network.
