1937
Start of slope construction on the Buochser – Ennetbürger Allmend

Group which started preparing a slope in 1937. Wages for married people 80 cents per hour, single people earn 68 to 70 cents per hour.
1940
Start of construction of the Pilatus aircraft factory, hall 1 (today's hall 10) is already located in the north and hall 2 in the south of the airfield. The first runway will be built where the current 2000 m long main runway is. At that time the runway was 600 x 37.5 m long. From the end of August to November 8th, first active service by Flieger-Firma 17.

1943
Hard surface runway 2 (today's redundancy runway was built. (Dimensions 900 x 40 m) 15 aircraft shelters, 2 re-establishment tunnels in Bürgenberg and Hall 3 in the south were completed.

1953

Barriers with traffic lights and guard houses are put into operation.
1959
Five squadrons with Hunters deployed from Buochs airfield
1962
The 600 m runway will be extended to 2000 m for the Mirage operation.
Plan Flugplatz 1962: Since 1962 until today nothing has changed on the runways and taxiways. In the meantime, the main runway has been extended to a length of 2000 m and the redundancy runway to a length of 1500 m. The extensions had become necessary because of the military jet operation.
1964
Move into the new control tower with the barracks in the south of the airfield. Barracks are still needed after 50 years, the control tower was replaced by a new building in 2011.
The TWR Buochs was occupied in 1964 and was in operation until 2011. The barracks stood still today and serve as office space and meeting rooms for Airport Buochs AG.
1975
Nine Hunter squadrons and a special squadron operate from Buochs airfield, Fliegerstaffel 21 operates from the cavern until 1967, where it had to give way to the Mirage IIIS squadrons, procurement of the Tiger F-5.
1996
Submission of an application for company regulations by the business development agency
1997
Foundation of the airport company Airport Buochs AG
1998
FOCA approves the operating regulations
2000
BS cedes air traffic control to Airport Buochs AG, sale of 50% stake in Pilatus Flugzeugwerke
2002
The Federal Supreme Court approves the Complaint Protection Association, and a provisional operational regulation has been in place ever since. Announcement of the closure of the Buochs military airfield and transition to the Sleeping Base.
2003
Retirement of Mirage IIIS with festival and military air show at Buochs airfield
2004
No more jet operations at Buochs airfield, but for many years the Buochs airfield has served as the factory airfield of Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG. Woman is hit by an airplane on the redundancy runway and dies in the process.
2005
Crash of the PC21 prototype on the premises of Buochs airfield
2012
District administrator authorizes cooperative corporations to repurchase the land no longer required by the federal government.
